I have received so much love and affection from the Indian people that nothing that I can do can repay even a small fraction of it and indeed there can be no repair ment of so precious a think as affiction. Many have been admired some have been rewarded but the affection of our classes of the Indian people has come to me in such a way that it makes sure that I have been overwhelmed by it. I can only express the hope that in the remaining years I am may live I shall not be unworthy of my people and their affection.
To innumerable comrades and colleagues, I own and even deeper dept of gratitude. We have been join partners in great undertakings and have shared the stamps and Sarah which in which table e accompanied them.
When I die I should like my body to be cremated if I die in a foreign country my body should be cremated there and my ashes send to Allahabad a small handful of these ashes should be true in the Ganga and the major portion of the game disposed of in the manager indicated below no part of these ashes should be retained of preserved.

Nehru calls the Ganga 'the river of India' because it is loved by her people. The songs of indias victories, defeats, racial memories, hopes and fears are interwoven round the Ganga. It is also a symbol of India's Age-long culture and civilization which have ever been changing and ever-flowing like the Ganga.
The Ganga reminds Nehru of the snow-covered peaks and the deep valleys of the Himalayas which he loved so much and of the rich and vast plains below, where his life and work had been shaped.
