On June 19, the space shuttle Atlantis left for Earth from the International Space Station.  There were a total of ten astronauts in Atlantis, including Sunita Williams.  Astronauts of Atlantis also completed the last spacewalk before Atlantis left for Earth.  Vehicle Commander Rick Sturkop and Pilot Lee Archambault separated Atlantis from its berthing port at 8:12 pm IST and then circled the station.  Space scientists from Atlantis installed two new solar power wings on the station, through which electricity would be supplied to the laboratories established by Europe and Japan.  Atlantis was supposed to land at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida on June 21, 2007, at 11:20 pm Indian time, but the US space agency NASA postponed Atlantis' return to the next night due to bad weather.  The next landing attempts were started from 11.45 pm on 22 June.  On June 22, the sky was covered with thick clouds at an altitude of 80,000 feet.  At 1:19 am on June 22 Indian time, Atlantis landed safely on runway number 22 at Edwards Air Base in California at an angle of 19 degrees.  With this, Sunita landed safely on earth along with her six members after completing her mission in the world of stars.  A wave of happiness spread all over the world.

Atlantis Commander Rick Sterko and Pilot Lee Archambault were first cleared by Mission Control to enter circumgravitational orbit.  At that time the speed of Atlantis was 28000 kilometers per hour.  Then Atlantis was disconnected from NASA for 16 minutes, which is part of the process.  After this, when the pilot sent his first message to NASA, the happiness of the scientists knew no bounds.
