Introduction:- The child or youth who studies in an educational institution is called a student.  Human community is society.  Activities related to society are 'social'.  The instinct by which a person becomes conscious is consciousness.  In other words, the instinct or power of the mind by which the creature experiences internal feelings, emotions, thoughts etc. and external events, elements or things, is consciousness.

Student and Social Consciousness:- Knowledge of the nature of society is social consciousness.  Social-consciousness is the birth of loving-unpleasant feelings towards the society.  Social consciousness is the act of being associated with or moving away from society.  The sense of duty and responsibility towards the society is also social consciousness. Today's student understands the happiness and sorrow of the society.  It is affected by the upheavals and good manners in the society.  He remains aware of anti-socials and enemies.  He is sad at the inaction of the society.  He awakens his noble qualities in social struggle.  In this way, the effort to see, know and test the behavior of the society and the individual in an all-round way is the social consciousness of the student.

Results of Social Consciousness :- Student's understanding and feeling, meditation and thought, power of mental awareness all together take his mind to the world of imagination, which is formed by the real talents of the society.  Their response is in the intensity of the student's vision of life, understanding and life-perception.  As a result, development of attitude, mental, cultural and high values to establish interpersonal relations in the society;  Feeling of dominance, motivation to do the best work, exploration of problems and finding their solutions, motivation to suffer or suffer, desire to move towards success, etc. are part of the social consciousness of the student.

There are results.

Molding oneself according to social behavior:- The development of social-consciousness of the student develops gradually in home-family, neighborhood, school, sports world, friend-group, caste, class, religion and politics.  Public opinion, propaganda, newspapers-magazines, crime, rape, family-disintegration, social isolation, collective and industrial struggle, war and revolution, love and lust, formation and disintegration of political parties, state, nation and international activities affect his social consciousness.  They develop and compel them to understand, think and meditate on their life values.  When the student sees in the family that the father smokes cigarettes and scolds the children for doing so, his thought inspires him to rebel.  When he hears obscene dialogues in the conversation of a friend who comes to meet his parents, the innocent mind of the student moves towards raw love.

Social behavior

Family's bitterness, neighbor's enmity and friendship affect him.  He thinks when will he start playing with the children of uncle and aunt?  How will I go to the neighbor's friend's house and drink tea?  When he sees the problems of his parents in his sister's marriage, the harsh behavior of his aunts and uncles, his mind also gets agitated with anger and hatred.  As a reaction, he starts considering the process of marriage as futile and suicidal.  When he sees the biased and selfish behavior of the teacher in the school, his mind becomes rebellious.  He prays to the Lord in his heart for the evil of that teacher.  The company of a friendly group leads his life towards progress, while stray and bad character companions push his life towards downfall.  When he sees a friend receiving a prize in the annual convention of the school, he thinks, why shouldn't I also acquire the ability to receive the prize in myself?

Nature of religion:- He understands and recognizes the nature of religion in the society.  He knows that Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Jews, Parsis, despite being part of one society, are divided because of sects.  When they interact, there are communal riots.  The student has a feeling that now curfew will be imposed, schools will be closed, shops will be looted by anti-social elements, vehicles will be set on fire.

Superstition:- The student understands that superstitions are born out of this mindless religious belief.  If someone sneezes, a cat crosses the path or someone shouts from behind, then it is considered a bad omen.  If ear is found on the way, it is considered inauspicious.

Experience of the external life of the society: - In this way, when the student experiences or understands the external life of the society, then on the basis of those experiences and understanding, he creates unique and new things of life on his mind.  He gets attached to the feelings raised in the mind.  This affection excites and awakens his emotions.  He sets his point of view.  Tries to bring change in life.  This thought-change, attempt to change the working style, re-creation of mind are the results of social-consciousness only.

Conclusion

The student thinks - he is a social animal.  He cannot live life without her.  Disloyalty to society is a fever, corruption is like leprosy, inaction is tuberculosis and disregard of social truth is social destruction.  To foster the spirit of struggle in them is to pave the way for the welfare of the society.  In his prosperity lies the happiness of his life, the brightness of his future and the excellence of his character.
