The Postman

1. Introduction-At nine O'clock the door-bell rings. We run to open the door. How happy we are when we see the postman with letters for us!
2. His works-The postman is a very important man and is very popular with everybody young and old. He brings us news from our friends and relations and sometimes money too. Sometimes he brings us bad news.
3. His uniform and dress-Generally the postman wears a Khaki uniform. But sometimes for a change, he wears ordinary clothes. He carries a leather bag which contains letters, parcels, money-orders and cash. Most postmen use bicycle but there are some who prefer walking.
4. His salary-The postman does not get a big salary but he works very hard. He performs his duty faithfully-whether it is hot summer or cold winter. He is always active.
5. His condition-In the old days the postman was not very well educated. It was enough if he knew how to read and write English and Hindi. But today many postmen are graduates.
6. Conclusion-When we think of the hard work that the postman does to bring us news, we admire him. He deserves all praise.

1. परिचय- नौ बजे दरवाजे की घंटी बजती है। हम दरवाजा खोलने के लिए दौड़ते हैं। जब हम डाकिए को हमारे लिए चिट्ठियाँ लेकर देखते हैं तो हमें कितनी खुशी होती है!
2. उनकी रचनाएँ-डाकिया एक बहुत ही महत्वपूर्ण व्यक्ति है और युवा और वृद्ध सभी के बीच बहुत लोकप्रिय है। वह हमारे लिए हमारे मित्रों और सम्बन्धियों से समाचार लाता है और कभी-कभी धन भी। कभी-कभी वह हमें बुरी खबर लाता है।
3. उसकी वर्दी और पहनावा- आमतौर पर डाकिया खाकी वर्दी पहनता है। लेकिन कभी-कभी बदलाव के लिए वह साधारण कपड़े पहन लेते हैं। वह एक चमड़े का थैला रखता है जिसमें पत्र, पार्सल, मनी-ऑर्डर और नकदी होती है। ज्यादातर पोस्टमैन साइकिल का इस्तेमाल करते हैं लेकिन कुछ ऐसे भी हैं जो पैदल चलना पसंद करते हैं।
4. उसकी तनख्वाह-डाकिया को ज्यादा तनख्वाह नहीं मिलती लेकिन वह बहुत मेहनत करता है। वह अपना कर्तव्य ईमानदारी से करता है-चाहे गर्मी हो या कड़ाके की सर्दी। वह हमेशा सक्रिय रहता है।
5. उसकी दशा- पुराने जमाने में डाकिया अधिक पढ़ा-लिखा नहीं होता था। यदि वह अंग्रेजी और हिंदी पढ़ना और लिखना जानता था तो यह काफी था। लेकिन आज कई पोस्टमैन ग्रेजुएट हैं।
6. निष्कर्ष- जब हम सोचते हैं कि डाकिया हमें समाचार लाने में कितनी मेहनत करता है, तो हम उसकी प्रशंसा करते हैं। वह सभी प्रशंसा के पात्र हैं।
